186 MEDIA APPOINTED AS APPROVED CONSULTANT TO ENVIROLINK NORTH WEST - 1st August 2009
186 Media has recently been appointed as a specialist provider of corporate video and DVD production to Envirolink North West, the agency responsible for promoting energy efficiency and environmental responsibility in the North West.
186 Media has worked with two industrial recycling companies to create promotional DVDs which demonstrate how industrial spoil can be efficiently reprocessed and recycled to produce new products for the construction industry.
Ellel Recycling, based in a quarry just off the M6 near Lancaster, has created a processing plant that captures waste spoil from industrial sites and turns it into fine aggregates, fine sand and other building materials in the time it takes a lorry to empty its load, turn itself round and fill itself back up. 186's cameras captured the production line up close to produce an all singing, balletic movie that gives you a digger's eye view of the entire process.
"Mega!" says Darrel Johns, Quality Manager at Ellel, "absolutely fantastic, brilliant work from 186."
Geoff Preston from Recycling Aggregates North West, a Liverpool-based venture that re-processes ground waste, found himself on top of his own spoil heap as he explained how his company cuts out the need to put industrial waste into landfill.
"186 has helped us tell our customers how they can stop wasting waste!" says Geoff. "We're a onestop shop in the North West turning spoil into high quality aggregate and the DVD gets the message across brilliantly."
